As a senior in high school who is in the middle of the college admissions process, this article is very interesting. When it comes to the high tier universities, it is very difficult to tell why someone gets in and why others do not. I think that this article does a good job of looking deeper into how and why students striving to get into an elite university, feel like it is a be all end all. Considering the needs of their students in the holistic process is very good, and I wish people understood that maybe there isn't one specific reason as to why someone is chosen or isn't. It can be a crapshoot but that's because there are so many things that are being considered such as background, your school, and your family's history.
